Tenax Offers Filiflex & Airflex Antique Brushes

Posted on 02 July 2021 by cradmin4

For use in fabrication shops, Tenax Filiflex and Airflex Antique Brushes offer a finished texture that reproduces the factory brushed finish.

Filiflex four and five inch snail lock brushes (pictured) are made with many narrow bristles, removing material more aggressively and cutting deeper to create an antique look. Filiflex lock grits are available in 36, 46 and 60.

For a softer antique look, Airflex four and five inch snail lock brushes are available to create a texture that enhances the natural color of the stone. The Airflex Snail Lock grits are available in 120, 220, 300, 400, 300Lux, 400Lux, 600Lux and 800Lux.

Tenax diamond brushes work with existing tools that are used everyday in fabrication shops to create antique finishes on slabs.

BB Industries Opens Utah Fulfillment Center

Posted on 17 March 2021 by cradmin

BB Industries announced it is opening a large fulfillment center in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 5 to better serve the 13 Western States with guaranteed delivery in two days or less.

“As we grow, so do our customer partners’ benefits,” said BB Industries CEO Rick Stimac. “We are using the resources from our unprecedented 2020 growth to expand our fulfillment services to ensure customer delight. This investment also shows our commitment to the stone industry and to our vendors and customers, and the fact that we want to provide the highest levels of service in all areas.”

The Utah facility is a full service operation. In addition, the company has several smaller satellite locations around the country.

“Some of the big delivery services are experiencing delays of up to six days with the increased demand for direct shipping, and BBI wants to ensure that delivery expectations are being met, regardless of the current environment,” added Stimac. “So we consulted with FedEx and UPS and the consensus was that a Salt Lake location will provide the level of service that BBI customers expect, with closer proximity to many of our Western customers. We have also expanded our outside sales team to 20, including several in the West Coast region, over the past few months.”

BBI strives to constantly improve its efficiency, as well as its clients’, by doing things like minimizing the amount of boxes shipped in each order and marking packages with red tape for easy recognition. The company said it has created a one-stop-shop for all things stone fabricating, from diamond tooling and adhesives, to machines.

According to Stimac, with two large fulfillment centers, the company can ship anything from its 11,000 SKUs to customers in two days and BBI customers can be confident the the company is committed to accuracy. The company also offers a 30-day, no questions asked guarantee.

Bessey Debuts One-handed Table Clamps (EZR-SET)

Posted on 19 November 2020 by cradmin

Bessey’s newest clamp innovation, EZR table clamp, was designed primarily to work with track saw guides (slots/grooves, 12 by 6.5 mm to 12 by 8mm from Festool, Protool, Metabo, Makita, Hitachi/Hikoki and DeWalt), but this clamp does so much more.

No tools are required to quickly transform and adapt to its numerous applications. It’s not just about clamping or having the capability to be a spreader, it also offers a unique step-over solution. The EZR offers single handed clamping and spreading of work pieces with 100 lbs. of clamping force. Step-over work is made possible by inserting a 2-in. adaptor into the upper or lower jaw. The easy to use release mechanism can quickly convert from clamping to spreading without tools simply by using a push button release.

Engineered with fiberglass reinforced polyamide and an ergonomically shaped handle, it allows a powerful grip as well as a safe access to the trigger lever. The fully enclosed plastic housing is also protected from dust and chips while the profiled rail offers extra stability. Cross prism design integrated in the plastic caps optimize material protection and allow fastening of round, pointed and angular pieces. EZR-SET contains two one-handed table clamps with 6-in. clamping capacity (spreading width 4 ¾-in. to 12-in.) and 2 3/8 throat depth.

• A CNC Core Bit for core drilling for corners of sink and faucet holes;
