Weha Introduces Large Heavy Duty Shop Cart

Posted on 27 July 2021 by cradmin4

The new Weha Large Fabrication Shop Cart was made specifically for large and fragile stone fabrication. As stones get larger, more than 10-ft. and taller up to 80-in., those oversized slabs need a larger cart than the traditional dry wall shop carts.

According to the company this new cart is suitable for all shop needs including marble, granite, quartz, quartzite, onyx, porcelain, sintered stone and more.

The cart is manufactured with 1 1/2-in. diameter pipe with three bolted support bars to handle the weight of the stone. The surface deck is 53-in. long by 16-in. deep and the surface deck also comes with a white rubber mat. Between the support bars next to the surface deck, there is a space of 10-in. for additional storage. This will allow for keeping the entire job, or two, on one shop cart throughout the fabrication process.

For any size island or full slab, it will ride safe with very little stress hanging above. The 2 swivel wheels with locks and 2 fixed wheels are 6-in. diameter and are built to safely hold 2640 lbs.

Additionally, the Weha Large Shop Cart comes with a plastic storage bin for a tape measure, pens, markers, etc. to keep with the cart.

Weha Introduces New Line of Shop Carts

Posted on 12 May 2020 by cradmin3

The New Weha Granite and Stone Drywall Fabrication Shop Carts are available in four different models. The Weha Stone Fabrication Cart is made like a drywall cart but built to be more heavy duty to work in the granite and stone environment. The Weha Granite Drywall Carts are great for storing remnants or moving cut pieces from the shop to the remnant rack and back.

The Weha Granite Fabrication Shop Carts have been redesigned to work with the large format slabs that are currently being fabricated. Now slabs that are 65-, 70-, and even 80-in. tall are being produced and the traditional carts are not made to handle this height, as they will tip over much easier as the load gets higher.

The Weha Shop Cart now has a wider wheel base with total width at 28-in. This additional width allows the full weight load of the taller slabs to stay between the wheels, drastically reducing the possibility of flipping over. For standard slabs it becomes the safest drywall cart/shop cart on the market.

The weight capacity for the welded fab shop cart remains at 2000 lb. capacity. Additionally, deck storage space has been extended from 12- to 14-in.

Weha Introduces New Material Handling Equipment

Posted on 17 June 2019 by cradmin

Weha has recently made two new introductions to its offering of material handling equipment; the T-31 Anchor Machine and the Cut Stone Trolley.

The Weha T-31 Anchor Machine does not require the stone to be flipped over to cut the Anchor Slots. Once the counter top or vanity is on the work table then cut out and polished, simply put the T-31 Anchor machine inside the bowl, slide in the Anchor machine to the depth that you need, and make the anchor slot. According to the company this drastically speeds up the time it takes to make the slots, reduces labor to flip the counter top, cuts down one less time of handling the counter top and reduces the risk of breaking the top.

The T 31 Anchor Machine can also be used upside down to make anchor slots on top. For example. If you cut out a vanity or sink on a CNC machine with the top face down, before you remove the top from the pods you can easily take the T 31 Anchor Machine and cut out the slots before it ever leaves the CNC. If the top is completely polished, this would eliminate any need to put it on a work table to cut the anchor slots.

The design of the Weha Cut Stone Trolley allows a back-friendly placement of workpieces. By tilting the side adjustable strut you can store shorter workpieces. To keep the pull bar from getting in the way, it is hooked in an upright position when not in use.

Features of the Cut Stone Trolley include: Load Capacity of 3086 lbs; 46-in. height; 42-in. width; 48-in. length; two fixed and two locking swivel wheels with an 11-in. tire size; 2- x 1 1/8-in. wood struts; and 22 1/2-in. from floor to shelf .
