Aristech Announces New Chief Executive Officer

aristech-surfaces-logoAristech Surfaces LLC announced that Mike Marchi has been selected by the Aristech board of directors as its new chief executive officer. Marchi assumes his new role effective August 1, 2017. Marchi succeeds Ross McMillan, who will remain involved in the company as a board member.

“The Aristech board could not have picked a better person to lead Aristech moving forward. Mike is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the building products industry and brings an intense customer service and quality focus to the position. He is a strong advocate for relationship building and I know our customers will benefit from this,” said Ross McMillan, exiting CEO and continuing board member.

Marchi joins Aristech at a time the company is poised for growth. With a solid base of business through its Aristech Acrylics, Avonite Acrylic Solid Surface, and Studio Collection brands, Marchi will be responsible for defining new organic strategic growth opportunities as well as M&A pursuits.

“I’m excited to be walking into a successful, established organization where my focus will be on strategic growth,” said Marchi. “Ross McMillan is leaving Aristech as a highly functioning organization delivering attractive results year over year. I’m in the fortunate position of being able to lead Aristech into the next wave of growth exploring new market and product opportunities globally.”

Mike Marchi brings more than 30 years of experience to this position, with the majority in the building products industry. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer of Lixil Water Technology Americas. His other previous posts include; CEO and president of Grohe Americas, president of Kohler Kitchen & Bath Americas and president of Ann Sacks Tile & Stone, a Kohler Company. He spent the initial 15 years of his career at GE where he acquired his strong process and quality management skillset. Marchi is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s General Manager Program and holds a MBA from DePaul University and a BS degree in economics and marketing from Elmhurst College.

Caesarstone Announces Appointment of New CEO

caesarstoneCaesarstone Ltd., a manufacturer of high quality engineered quartz surfaces, announced the appointment of Mr. Raanan Zilberman as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Yonathan Melamed, Chairman of the Board, commented, “I am happy to welcome Raanan Zilberman, who will join Caesarstone as the Company’s CEO in February 2017. After a rigorous search, the Board of Directors elected Mr. Zilberman due to his leadership and considerable experience, along with his strong track record of success as a CEO.”

Over the last 17 years, Zilberman has served as CEO & President of several multinational corporations, including: CEO of Eden Springs, a Swiss-based provider of water & coffee services to European workplaces; CEO of Danone Springs, a joint venture between “Group Danone” and “Mey Eden; President of Vishay Transducers, a subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology Inc.; and CEO & President of Tedea-Huntleigh, a multinational company that engages in production and marketing of electromechanical sensors. Prior to that, Zilberman served as COO of Tadiran Appliances, a former subsidiary of Carrier and United Technologies.

Zilberman commented, “I am proud and excited to join Caesarstone. I look forward to working with the management team, who has done an amazing job in developing the company over the past few years. Together we will continue to seek new growth opportunities to foster our brand and to further enhance value for Caesarstone’s shareholders, employees, partners and customers.”

Caesarstone Announces Departure of CEO

CaesarstoneCaesarstone Sdot-Yam Ltd. (CSTE), a manufacturer of engineered quartz surfaces, announced that Yos Shiran, the company’s CEO, has informed the company that he is resigning to pursue other interests. Shiran will continue to serve as CEO of the company for the next three months. Caesarstone’s Board of Directors has begun the search for the company’s next CEO and is committed to a seamless transition.

Yonathan Melamed, Chairman of the Board of Caesarstone commented, “On behalf of the board, I would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Yos Shiran for his many outstanding contributions to Caesarstone. We were fortunate to have him lead the company to many notable achievements since his appointment as CEO in January 2009. Yos’ extraordinary vision, business acumen and leadership guided Caesarstone to its position as the global countertop market leader with a strong brand recognized around the world, innovative products, a culture of excellence and in a position for continued growth in the future”.

Yos Shiran, Chief Executive Officer of Caesarstone said, “It has been an honor to lead Caesarstone these past 7 and a half years. I am proud of what we have accomplished as a team and I am convinced that Caesarstone has the strength and capabilities to continue its growth as a strong force in our industry globally. KCMA Board Elects Natz as New CEO

KCMA Betsy NatzThe Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) Board of Directors elected Betsy Natz to the position of CEO. Natz succeeds Dick Titus as the KCMA Executive Vice President. Betsy Natz joined the organization in January of 2016 and brings many years of executive-level leadership experience to KCMA. Natz is an association executive with experience as congressional aid to two U.S. Senators and President Ronald Reagan. She served as an Executive Director for The Institute of Clean Air Companies (ICAC), the Formaldehyde Council, Inc., and Styrene Information and Research Center (SIRC). Her experience includes outreach efforts aimed at congress/executive branch/white house and regulatory agencies serving as an industry spokesperson on issues of importance to the industry groups she represented. Natz is a big-picture thinker that has a keen ability to capture opportunity, navigate change and lead a team to raise the visibility, impact and excellence of an organization. “I’m very excited to come onboard as CEO for KCMA and build upon the outstanding foundation that Titus has developed over many years,” says Natz. KCMA is looking forward to a prosperous future under the leadership of Natz, both carrying Dick Titus’ legacy and creating one of her own.
