Video: The Basics of Fabricating Recycled Glass Slabs

This video produced by Vetrazzo shows the basics of fabricating recycled glass slab materials, such as cutting, feed speeds, polishing, overhangs, sink cut-out reinforcement, suitable applications and the effects of temperature change.

While this is certainly just a broad overview, it does explain how fabricating this type of material is similar and different to fabricating other hard surfaces, such as granite.

With 20 colors of recycled glass distributed throughout the product’s resin-based sheets, GEOS is suitable for countertops and other surfaces, and is eligible for up to 4 LEED points. As a designated distributor for Wilsonart products, E.B. Bradley also sells EOScu, EOS Surfaces’ Preventive/Biocidal Surfaces™.

EOS Surfaces Expands GEOS Recycled Glass Surface Colors

GEOS Glacier BayAt KBIS 2015, EOS Surfaces showcased two new colors of its GEOS Recycled Glass Surface, a non-cement-based recycled glass material: Cirrus and Glacier Bay. Cirrus has a bright white background with clear/white glass particulate for a clean white on white option. Glacier Bay (pictured here), with a frosty white background, has larger blue glass particulates akin to deep blue waters in an arctic bay. The design is reminiscent of its earlier Marina or Avalon colors, but with more pronounced recycled glass chips. GEOS now has more than 20 colors available.

Eos Surfaces Adds 2 New GEOS Colors

Eos Surfaces added  two new colors to its GEOS Recycled Glass Surface line. Juneau is a bright, jewel-toned turquoise and Rincon is a mosaic of olive, rust and light blue in a sand-hued base. Equally friendly to the fabricator as it is to the environment, GEOS is NSF, Green Circle and Elite Green certified, and may qualify for up to four LEED credit points. After being available in Home Depot in limited areas, GEOS will be rolling out to all Home Depot stores over the next 12 to 16 months.

Stalwart Systems Adds GĒOS to Distribution

ĒOS Surfaces added Stalwart Systems to its Gēos distributors. Stalwart Systems is located in Niles, Ill. Stalwart’s territories include Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri and Michigan.
