LPI Releases Newest Version of Laser Templator Software

Posted on 16 January 2019 by cradmin

Laser Products Industries (LPI) has released Laser Templator v526, the latest version of its custom-designed 2D measuring and templating software program for its hardware counterpart LT-2D3D.

The most notable enhancement in v526 from v521.1 released last September, is with its speed. According to the company, opening and saving job files for large, complex jobs is more than 30 times faster, while small- to mid-sized jobs is up to 6 times faster. Functions, such panning and zooming, now operate at a higher frame rate for improved responsiveness allowing the user to experience smoother transitions. LPI states that the improvements are geared towards providing an enhanced user experience and make digital templating with the LT-2D3D even easier.

“We are constantly looking for ways to improve our products and that includes listening to our customers and the industry,” said Erik Louis, executive vice president of engineering and operations for LPI. “Last year, we added a CNC integration function to our software to be able to export files that seamlessly integrate with specific CNC brands for a true measure-to-cut experience. This new version now adds speed, which makes measuring and templating small and large jobs even more efficient.”

The Laser Templator software is designed to be user friendly and allow users to easily create and send CNC-ready files directly from the jobsite without having to possess any CAD experience. Laser Templator comes with every new LT-2D3D system. Customers currently using the software can upgrade to v526 for free by following the prompts on their tablet to download the new version. A list of all the new features and improvements to the software is also available upon download.

Laser Products Industries (LPI) has made the 2018 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States for the second-consecutive year. LPI has experienced nearly 70 percent sales growth over the last three years and joins an elite group of repeat companies on the Inc. 5000.

“Of the tens of thousands of companies that have applied to the Inc. 5000 over the years, only a fraction have made the list more than once,” said James Ledbetter, editor in chief of Inc. Media. “A mere one in three have made the list two times.”

According to Ledbetter, companies that have made the list, on average, have grown six-fold since 2014 during a stretch when the economy grew around 11 percent. Collectively, revenue from companies on this year’s list is up 158 percent from 2014, a trend that LPI continues to follow.

“It’s a tremendous honor and achievement for LPI to be named to the Inc. 5000 for the second straight year,” said LPI president Rich Katzmann. “We continue to invest in all aspects of our business to ensure we not only continue providing the best quality of products and services, but also innovate and develop new solutions for new markets and the evolving needs of our customers. We have some big things planned between now and the next few years that are pretty exciting.”

LPI was founded in 1994 by Dan Louis, who was a 2017 inductee into the National Kitchen and Bath Association Hall of Fame. Throughout its 24 years, LPI has been recognized by customers, peers and associations worldwide as a leader in laser measuring products for several industries including countertop, cabinet and woodworking. The company has several new products in development that will launch over the next couple years to accompany its popular LT-2D3D Laser Templator.

Laser Products Forms New Company: Precision Measuring & Training

Posted on 20 April 2018 by cradmin

Laser Products Industries (LPI) announced that it has finalized the acquisition of Precision Templates of Colorado and has formed a new separate company, Precision Measuring and Training (PMT), headquartered in Denver, Colo.

PMT will initially serve the Denver market and will offer digital laser templating, CAD work, training, and tool measuring to fabricators primarily in the stone, millwork, and glass industries. The new company has offered positions to all former Precision Templates of Colorado employees to take advantage their 60 years of combined templating experience.

“PMT was formed to provide a unique set of services for the issues that today’s fabricators are facing.” said Rich Katzmann, president, Laser Products.  “We measure, do layouts, translate files to CAD drawings, schedule jobs, and handle customer paperwork. We only hire highly skilled professionals and put them through rigorous certification to guarantee error-free, on-time, cost-saving work.”

“When Rich and I first talked, I saw the immediate benefit of the PMT business model for fabricators,” said Marc Sleight, vice president, PMT. “The Laser Products system is the only solution we trust that allows us to achieve our promise of accuracy and process customization.  There’s no more down time, no expensive investments, and no more impossible scheduling problems.  PMT is fully flexible and can customize our services to the fabricator’s specific needs regardless of type of job, material, location, or process.  PMT employees are better trained, better with customers, and go where you want, when you want, based on your schedule. It’s a perfect solution.”

Currently only in the Denver market, PMT will be expanding to other cities this year, aggressively growing to national status in just a few years.
