Alpha Professional Tools Introduces Pneumatic Stone Cutter

alpha PSC-150Alpha Professional Tools introduced the Alpha PSC-150, a new industrial-quality pneumatic stone cutter that is equipped with a 2 hp motor, with a speed governor in the motor that regulates the air consumption according to the torque needed for the application. This regulation includes producing enough torque to cut 1-1/4-in. (3cm) stone slabs in one pass. It is also capable of miter cutting of 1-1/4-in. materials. According to the company the pneumatic-powered motor, limits repair and maintenance when sink hole cutting and groove cutting for rodding applications. The company also offers a carriage that retrofits on the Alpha Guide Rail System to support making precise miter cuts forĀ  lamination. The PSC-150 offers kink-free water and air hoses to help reduce operator fatigue and improve maneuverability. A manifold system is also available to reduce maintenance. It comes with a filter and regulatorĀ  to catch moisture and debris. It also comes with an Eclipse II 6-in. turbo blade for granite and engineered stone. It can use a variety of other consumables, depending on the application.

Braxton-Bragg Offers Predator Electric Edge Profiling Router

Predator Electric RouterBraxton-Bragg is offering the Predator Electric Edge Profiling Router, a stone router that does not require 220-volt power. The Predator will profile the edge of stone using standard profile bits, and requires only 3 in. of surface to balance the tool. This allows the it to profile sink cut-outs as well as edge profiles. Utilizing the Milwaukee 6117-33D 13-amp, 2100-watt, variable-speed motor distinguishes it from belt-driven routers. It has a hydroplaning water base, router bit height adjustment, a 22mm spindle (with an adapter for 5/8-in. to 22mm) and allows users to lock the line water supply directly on the router bit. With more than 3.5-hp, the router remains easy to handle and can be used to profile countertop edges as well as the inside of sink holes.
