AWFS Seeks Entries for 2021 Visionary New Product Awards & Showcase

Posted on 12 April 2021 by cradmin

Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers® (AWFS®) is seeking entries from its 2021 exhibitors for the Visionary New Product Awards and Showcase that will be featured at the biennial AWFS Fair in Las Vegas, July 20-23, 2021.

According to Brian Joyce, Blum’s Vice President of Sales and AWFS Trade Show Chair, “This year, the Fair will see an expanded emphasis on new products. Since all trade shows were forced to cancel or postpone their events toward the end of the first quarter of 2020, people really want to see these new products in addition to what else they may have missed during this timeframe, all the while being able to reconnect face-to-face once again.”

The categories will once again include: Industry 4.0; Machinery Over $50,000; Machinery Under $50,000; Power Tools; Hardware; Components; Tooling; Software; and Raw Materials. All entries must be received by June 1st and must be submitted through the designated Visionary New Product website at https://visionaryaward21.artcall.org/.

As in 2019, an Industry 4.0 Showcase will also be featured and both the Visionary and Industry 4.0 Showcases will take center stage in the brand new, state-of-the-art West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Exhibitors wishing to enter their products in the 4.0 Showcase may apply via the same website https://visionaryaward21.artcall.org/. Exhibitors are encouraged to consult this website and the AWFS Fair marketing manual for complete rules and instructions.

CMA Seeks Wood Diamond Award Submissions

Posted on 08 March 2017 by cradmin

Cabinet Makers AssociationThe Cabinet Makers Association (CMA) announced that its Wood Diamond Awards program is now accepting submissions for the 2017 contest. The CMA’s award program was first offered to the membership in 2010 as a means for members to be recognized by their peers.
The Cabinet Makers Association was incorporated in 1998 by a group of custom cabinet makers who thought the small to mid-size shop needed to network and help each other grow. The association was founded on the principle of sharing experiences and ideas with other members in an effort to promote success and professionalism in the woodworking business. Currently, CMA membership is made up primarily of 20 or fewer employee operations, with the vast majority of those being shops with between one and five employees.
Members have stated that the Wood Diamond Awards have given them the opportunity to become more recognizable in the industry and gain credibility for the craft.
CMA members are encouraged to enter their projects in the 2017 awards program. The 2017 submission form can be accessed at www.cabinetmakers.org/wood-diamond-awards. The entry fee is $50 for each submission received by April 30, 2017. Entries received May 1-15, 2017 will be charged $75 each. No entries will be accepted after May 15, 2017. The winners will be announced on Thursday, July 20, 2017 during AWFS in Las Vegas.
