LX Hausys America, manufacturer HI-MACS Solid Surface and Viatera Quartz Surface, was named as a winner of three 2025 Product Innovation Award recipients by sister publications Architectural Products, Interiors + Surfaces and Building magazines. The awards were for two HI-MACS products and one Viatera product.
Both HI-MACS Calacatta Albero and Calacatta Costa are said to be inspired by a look of sand that incorporates a combination of thin and thick veining. The solid surface materials are also among the first Calacatta designs made at the company’s’ manufacturing facility in Adairsville, Ga., and some of the first to feature both wide and thin veining in the same material.
The Viatera Taj Duna product features warm, earthy tones and soft veining, and is part of the company’s Quartzite Collection. It is made with NeoQ™, LX Hausys’ low-silica, next-generation quartz formulation that incorporates up to 90 percent recycled materials. It also features TrueView technology, designed to enhance realism with clarity and depth, and Thru Vein technology, a through-body technique that carries the pattern consistently across the face and edges of the slab. The quartz material is one of only two Viatera colors to include both TrueView and Thru Vein technologies, joining the company’s Crystallo Glace color.
