MIA Elects Three New Board Members

The Marble Institute of America (MIA) elected three new people to its 13-person board of directors. The following three were those chosen by MIA’s membership: Buddy Ontra will represent Zone 1. He is the owner of Ontra Stone Concepts in Bridgeport, Conn., a family-run installation and fabrication company. Ontra is taking the place of David Castellucci, of Kenneth Castellucci & Associates, who is remaining on the board as its 2016 president. Bruce Knaphus represents Zone 6. Knaphus is president of KEPCO+, Inc., an installation company in Salt Lake City. He replaces Tony Malisani, of Malisani Inc., who was the 2014 board president. Mike Picco represents Zone 8. Picco is president of PICCO Engineering, a stone consulting company in Toronto, Ontario. Picco is replacing Patrick Perus, of Polycor, who was a board member for five years.
