International Designs Group Acquires Trajus Surfaces

International Designs Group LLC (IDG), a portfolio company of Mill Point Capital LLC (“Mill Point”), announced that it has acquired Trajus Surfaces, LLC (Surfaces), a distributor of engineered quartz and natural stone products in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States. Comprising two brands, European Granite & Marble and Marva Marble, Surfaces will join IDG’s portfolio, which includes United Materials, Inc. (UMI), Construction Resources, and Cancos Tile & Stone.

The Surfaces acquisition expands IDG’s geographic footprint through the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, enhancing the combined platform’s distribution reach and further strengthening its relationships with key customer and vendor partners. The united resources and operational capabilities of International Designs and Surfaces provide a differentiated opportunity to bring together leading brands in the marketplace, accelerate growth and further strengthen IDG’s ability to serve the surfacing, kitchen and bath and home products industries.

“We are very excited to announce our partnership with Surfaces, and look forward to embarking upon our next chapter of growth. This strategic move is an exceptional opportunity to expand beyond the Southeast into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. We believe that the acquisition secures IDG’s footprint in the kitchen, bath and construction industry across the Eastern United States. We look forward to partnering with Surfaces and its leadership team,” said Mitch Hires, CEO of International Designs Group.

“The acquisition of Surfaces is a key building block for IDG. With a strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, Surfaces further expands IDG’s geographic footprint, allowing our distribution capabilities to reach a new cohort of customers. We look forward to supporting IDG as they advance Surfaces’ growth plan,” added Michael Duran, Founder and Managing Partner of Mill Point.
