Danny and Christy Trussell, owners of Trussell’s Transformations, have a unique definition of full service that has helped them make their business a success: providing customers with peace of mind no matter what it takes.
Trussell’s Transformations is a full-service contracting business located in Albuquerque, N.M. The company specializes in renovations, and operate on a model that requires them to use in-house staff and equipment for as much of the work as possible rather than subcontracting it out to others.
Christy believes that their clients admire them and are more confident when they see the same people working throughout an entire project instead of having strange new faces around every day.
“Considering that the homeowner has to live with all that chaos, it’s comforting to know that the same people will be there every day,” said Christie.
Because Danny and Christy prefer not to subcontract, they operate a full countertop fabrication shop at their 5,000-sq.-ft. facility, which also includes a warehouse, showroom and offices.
Trussell’s Transformations was founded in 2003 by Danny, who was already a remodeling contractor at the time. By 2012, he had 12 employees working for him, including three full-time countertop fabricators and two installers. Most of the countertop work they do involves granite and all of the major brands of quartz, including Silestone, Caesarstone, Cambria, Radianz and Zodiaq.
Although the company does some commercial countertop fabrication, most of their work is residential, and much of the company’s work comes from a contract with Lowe’s.
